My grandad lived in Kidderminster all his life and most of it in the Wood Street area. During World War 2 he was in the RAF and based at Catterick and Belgium. He was known through his friends and family as a keen pigeon flyer which he enjoyed for many years. And was part of the Sugar Beet football club. The most noticeable thing about him was his rosey red cheeks and his piercing blue eyes.
He was a lovely man and would give you his last fiver if he had it and went without things himself. He would help anyone at anytime
